Amalie: i’m amalie. I have to goldfish who I call Fsih and Thor. Before i die i want to be really good at something, and have a clue about who i am.

Henriette: My name is Henriette. Before I die I want to do something so that people remember my name.

Johannes: My name is Johannes. Before i die, I want to sell my drum set, clean up my room, sleep for a whole day and save the world

Amalie: I am so finished with this town. I have been thinking about it a lot, and I know that if I don’t leave soon, I’m going to go mental. This place is just so limited and I’m getting frustrated just thinking about how much time I’m wasting in being here. I don’t feel like this is my home, this place is nothing but a mix of boring people that looks exactly alike, lousy offers and few opportunities. Each time I’m travelling, especially to the bigger places, I notice that I’m dreading to leave, because I know that when I get home, it’s over, and I know that I’m going to enter some sort of a depression, where I feel that everything in Stavanger sucks. The claustrophobia is going to flush over me, and its going to feel like everything is getting smaller by the day, and in the end, my house will be the only thing that remains.

So when I travel, I seriously consider not returning. Get a job and just leave everything I have here. And I’m not talking about a long time vacation, I want to settle a completely different place, feel the new impulses, forget all about my home, and just not come back.

And of course, I know its not going to be the most glamorous life, but I would much rather grow as a human being, than have a growing fortune. I don’t really care a lot about money, and I feel that’s what Stavanger is. It’s all about money. I hate that. I hate that everybody knows each other, and I hate that everyone is exactly the same.

I will be moving from Stavanger as soon as I can, and I’m never moving back.

Henriette: To me it seems like life is a pointless joke, and that there is no purpose, and no destiny either.

Johannes: My girlfriend has to be kind, not that posh, and social, not like me sitting there and saying nothing

I am often with people, but it happens that i don’t say anything for a while. I’m only listening. I am not good with small talks, talk to just talk, i can’t manage it. I don’t feel less including, its only that… if you haven’t said something in a long time, it’s pretty hard to join the conversation again, But if there is something of interest then I can talk a lot. If I want something or have to concentrate for something then I talk little. But if I am just joking with people, well then I can talk a lot.

Actually am I comfortable with not saying too much, often can it take 1 week before I really talk to a person, but before that. First I am sitting quiet and just observing, I see how they behave and if they are ok. So I can adapt to whom I am talking too.

It is difference between boys and girls. When I am talking to boys its mostly bullying with each other, but when you talk to girls they can talk about everything

Henriette: All the boys want to go to the North Sea and steer submarines. They want the quickest way to the highest possible salary. Therefore, they choose the electrical and they plan everything in detail.

There are so many mainstream people who just do what everyone else does. They just plan everything they want to do, but they never do it. Everyone just follows, and they just do what everyone else does.

I try not to be like that. I hope I'm like that. In that case I'm not aware of it. I do not think I'm mainstream, not in my head at least. It does not matter what other people think, because I know what I am doing.

Amalie: i feel that the arts is just as important in our society as everything else. And it is so annoying when people say otherwise. Those aret he people who doesn’t understan that it’s the art who shapes us into what we are. Its the art that seperatet our life from a big clump of soutines, sickness and numbers. It’s the art who fills the big empthy space in our lives. Without the art, we would be so little developed and everything would just be completely black and white. We would be so judgemental and sumb, that we wouldn’t even know which foot to stand on. We would live our boring grey lives, next to other boring people, and we would talk about things that no one really cares about.

It’s just the ignorant conservatives that cant see how important the art is.

JD: Oh….

Amalie: Fuck off!

The art is important for for the entire society, and its important to each individual. If it werent for the art, there would be even more restrictions on how to behave, and what to think. And everyone wold just be more alike. As if thats what we need here.

Henriette : Im so sick of people just talking and talking and never doing anything. They just og with the flow and they do nothing at all!

What im gonna do the rest of my life. The rest of my life sounds like a long time.

The teatchers at school says that ”this is something that you are going to forget” and that ”this subject is so diffucult that almost halv of the class fails”. I have been told that ”this is something that you are going to struggle with, and you should not choose this”.

I do not want to be told that i should give up, even thought things are diffidult. I want to be motivated to overcome obstacles and challenges.
